About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Infant Feeding Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Infant Feeding Co-ordinator to support women in their breastfeeding journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sensitive and non-judgmental breastfeeding support to pregnant and breastfeeding women and their families.
  • Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality infant feeding services.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the UNICEF Baby Friendly standards and best practices in infant feeding.
  • Collaborate with community healthcare teams to promote breastfeeding and support mothers in their communities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of infant feeding policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Childcare, NVQ 3, NNEB, BTEC, or equivalent experience working with parents, children, and families within Health/Social Care setting.
  • Leadership experience in infant feeding and working in partnership with other agencies.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of NICE guidelines relating to breastfeeding.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative, prioritizing workload and carrying out breastfeeding assessments.
