Project Overview
A 3.5-year PhD studentship is available to join Dr. Jenny Zhang's team at the Department of Chemistry. The project aims to accelerate 3-D bioelectrode design.
Key Responsibilities
- Employ various electrode fabrication approaches, including additive manufacturing and templated methods, to aid the development of 3-D electrodes.
- Carry out in-depth electrode characterization using techniques such as electrochemistry and electron microscopy.
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams, particularly with biologists to test the output of the electrodes.
Requirements
- At least a UK upper second-class Master's degree in chemistry, materials, engineering, or a relevant subject.
- Experience with 3-D computer-assisted drawing tools and good communication skills are desirable.
