Recovery Coach for Personal Growth

Your role at Phoenix Futures will be pivotal in shaping the lives of individuals seeking transformative recovery journeys. As a Recovery Coach for Personal Growth, you will be tasked with managing a small caseload, assessing the needs of service users, and developing personalized recovery plans. This will involve applying a range of therapeutic approaches to meet the individual needs of our clients, whether that's employment, education, or health.
Using the Therapeutic Community 'community as method' model, you will empower individuals, families, and communities to be confident about recovery. Your role will be key in creating a culture of recovery within our state-of-the-art facility, which offers 27 beds for individuals seeking a holistic approach to healing.
As a Recovery Coach, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring the needs of residents are met, and providing the best possible care in a supportive environment. You will also be expected to deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialist interventions in accordance with the TC manual and the needs of the service.
Previous experience is desirable, but not essential. We are seeking dedicated individuals who share our values, are willing to learn new skills, and possess the compassion to deliver the best service possible to our residents.
This is a part-time role of 18 hours per week, with a rolling rota that includes evening and weekend working. To join us as a Recovery Coach for Personal Growth, you will need:
- An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
- An understanding of working with individuals in the substance use sector or related field.
- The ability to be innovative and flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
- The ability to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
- Knowledge of adult protection, as you will be working with vulnerable adults in a residential setting.

We offer a competitive salary of £24,000 (pro-rata) with potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, meaning potential salary increase up to £28,000 (pro-rata). We also offer 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (rising yearly up to 30), benefits including season ticket loan, pension scheme, and life assurance, and support through occupational sick pay, eye-care vouchers, and regular wellbeing talks and activities.
