At Academics, we are seeking an experienced CHILD INCLUSION AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR to join our dynamic primary school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing strategies to promote inclusivity and support students with SEND.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusivity and support students with SEND.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored learning plans for students with SEND.
  • Provide individualized support to help students access the curriculum effectively.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting independence and confidence in the students you support.
  • Monitor and document progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEND in a school setting.
  • Patient, compassionate, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of various SEND conditions, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.
