About the Role:
  1. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one or small group support for children with SEND, helping them access the curriculum effectively.
  2. Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENDCO to implement tailored learning plans is a key aspect of this role.
  3. Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment is crucial, promoting independence and confidence in the pupils you support.
  4. Assisting with personal care or sensory needs as required is also a key aspect of this role.
  5. Monitoring and documenting progress, providing feedback to staff and parents, is essential.
About You:
  • You should have experience working with children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
  • A solid understanding of various SEND, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs, is necessary.
  • Patient, compassionate, and adaptable individuals with excellent communication skills are ideal for this role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to child welfare are essential.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, are desirable but not essential.
