Digital Manufacturing Engineer

We're a global leader in mining and civil blasting, and we're excited to invite applications for the role of Engineer - Manufacturing Technology.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Solutions business, which is continually developing cutting-edge technologies that are changing the Mining and Infrastructure sectors.
As a key member of our team in Tewkesbury, United Kingdom, you'll be responsible for managing all Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Motivation outcomes and associated improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a talented Orica Digital production and technical team, managing, motivating, mentoring, training, and developing their skills;
- Deliver high-quality products that meet scheduled volume demand and QA/QC requirements;
- Support stakeholders in R&D, Supply Chain, Production, and Manufacturing in delivering business objectives;
- Prepare, review, and update process documentation and standard operating procedures;
- Assist in implementing a new ERP system, ensuring engineering changes are updated throughout.
- Minimum 5 years' experience post-professional qualification and direct people management;
- Proven leadership and collaborative approach in developing the direction and operations of the workstream;
- Strong experience in best practice PCBA and small batch electromechanical assembly manufacturing;
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders;
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma initiatives is desirable;
- Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives;
- Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management and building strong vendor relationships;
- First-hand production scheduling experience.
