Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing organisation into a new warehouse.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and Checking Deliveries: Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Making Boxes for Transition: Assist in preparing the new warehouse for operation by making boxes and other necessary materials.
  • Picking and Packing Orders: Pick and pack orders accurately, ensuring they are ready for despatch and meeting customer expectations.
  • Loading and Unloading Goods: Load and unload goods from vehicles, using manual handling equipment and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Organised Warehouse: Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and safe for employees and visitors.
  • Assisting with Stock Control: Assist with stock control, inventory management, and regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory levels.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment. However, full training will be provided, so individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply. You must have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with colleagues and external partners on a daily basis. You should be able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities.
