The Goods In Warehouse Operative will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming goods while ensuring accurate inventory management. This role requires a valid Counterbalance or Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift license and a commitment to safety and quality in warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages.
- Audit and record goods into the inventory management system.
- Operate counterbalance or VNA forklifts to move goods within the warehouse safely.
- Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure efficient inventory management and accessibility.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory audits as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.
- Valid Counterbalance or VNA forklift license is ideal.
- Previous experience in a warehousing or goods in role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to handle moderate to heavy lifting as required.
