Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a caring and supportive Support Worker to assist a lady with multiple health conditions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in personal care and be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.

About the Role:

This part-time position involves providing support to a female client with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, personal care, and socialisation.

The successful candidate will work on a flexible schedule covering sickness and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare meals using Hello Fresh
  2. Assist with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and hair drying
  3. Remind the client to take medication
  4. Socialise with the client through activities like crafts or outings
Requirements:
  • Experience in personal care
  • Ability to work with pets (the client has two cocker spaniels and two cuddly cats)
  • Proficiency in using technology, including a Brighthr app and WhatsApp group
Working Conditions:

This role requires the candidate to work from home at times, using a crutch indoors and outdoors, and an electric wheelchair for longer distances.

Salary:

£17.52 per hour

Total Salary:

£34,220 per annum (based on full-time equivalent)
