About our NHS Team
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Portland Medical Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering NHS Health Checks to patients, adhering to national guidelines.
The role involves conducting health checks and phlebotomy on Saturday clinic days. You will assess the risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and diabetes based on test results using defined parameters.
Additional tasks may include gathering family medical histories, administering flu and other immunisations, and performing routine blood testing as per NHS guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
- Trained in Phlebotomy.
- Experience of working with a GP Practice.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
