Café Bar Supervisor Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Café Bar Supervisor to join our team at Cornerstone. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our café bar, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the Café Bar Manager in their duties.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the café manager, venue duty managers, and technicians to ensure events run smoothly at the café bar.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the café bar and its products, adhering to food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing standards.
- Place orders and ensure the rota is adequately staffed in the absence of the Café Bar Manager.
- Support a profitable café bar by ensuring fast service, up-selling, and minimising wastage.
- Handle catering bookings and ensure catering requirements for hirers are met to a high standard.
- Adhere to cash handling and finance procedures and complete relevant paperwork.
- Ensure the security of the café bar, including its takings, and act as duty building manager when required.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and report defects promptly.
- Attend regular catering service meetings with your line manager.
- Attend Cornerstone senior team meetings when the Café Manager is unavailable.
- Assist with room setups, including moving furniture.
- Help the venue duty manager with ushering duties if required.
- Good standard of education or equivalent experience.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and training abilities.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Excel.
- Experience in a café or bar, ideally in a supervisory role.
- 25 days' annual leave (rising to 30 days after five years), plus bank holidays and additional time off between Christmas and New Year.
