We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Practitioner to join our team at Cornerstone Community Care in Uphall, West Lothian. As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing residential, respite, and day care support to individuals with various disabilities and additional support needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centred support in all aspects of daily living, including cooking, personal care, and managing personal finances.
- Support individuals with their hobbies and interests, such as cooking, baking, and sports.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain and promote independence.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
- A caring and compassionate attitude.
- The ability to work well in a team and lone work.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Confidence in the use of computers.
- The ability to cook.
Shift patterns will vary, with a focus on maintaining and promoting independence. Sleepovers and waking night shifts may be required, with additional payments for these shifts.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and have a commitment to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
