Support Practitioner

Our amazing #TeamForrestWalk in Uphall, West Lothian are on the lookout new colleagues to join them as Support Practitioners. We have up to 39 hour contracts available.

You don't need experience as a Support Practitioner or qualifications to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. **We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration too**

**The Role**

You’ll become part of a fun, friendly team who provide residential, respite and day care support to individuals with various disabilities and additional support needs.

With a focus on maintaining and promoting independence, you will work in a person-centred way to provide support in all aspects of daily living, including cooking and preparing meals, personal care, administering medication and managing personal finances. You’ll also play a huge part in supporting them with their hobbies and interests too, including cooking, baking, dominoes, basketball, going for walks and trips to the local pub.

**Shift Patterns**

As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts usually fall between the hours of 0700-2100, sleepovers, waking nights and weekend and public holiday working on a rotational basis.

Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional payment of **£87** for every sleepover shift you work. Waking night shifts are paid at your normal hourly rate, plus an additional payment of £20 per night.
