Tax Consultant

Deloitte LLP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Consultant (Assistant Manager / Manager) to join our Private Client Tax team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert tax advice and compliance services to our clients.
About the RoleWe are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in tax advisory services, particularly in private client tax. Your expertise will be essential in helping our clients navigate complex tax issues and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Associate Directors, Directors, and Partners in client relationships, including technical delivery, project management, client conversations, and operational management.
- Exercise commercial judgement, making decisions on how to progress work, in consultation with Associate Directors/Directors/Partners.
- Prepare high-quality and technically accurate tax technical advice for clients and deliver this advice in a straightforward manner.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, helping them develop their skills and expertise.
- Coordinate the timely preparation and submission of tax returns to ensure client obligations are met.
- Take responsibility for the timely delivery of tax services to clients.
- Identify opportunities on existing accounts and contribute to our brand by building a network amongst professional advisors and potential clients.
- Experience of advising high net worth individuals and/or professional practices on their UK tax position.
- ATT/ACA/CTA qualification or equivalent. Support will be available for the CTA qualification if not already held.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as sound written and oral skills.
- Experience of assisting in developing and maintaining client relationships.
