Geography Teacher Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Geography Teacher to join our team of experienced educators at secondary schools in Portsmouth.

This role is ideal for both day-to-day and short/long-term supply teachers looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Create and deliver engaging Geography lessons, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing classroom behavior and promoting student well-being.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the Geography curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold a valid QTS to teach in secondary schools.
  • Subject Expertise: Possess up-to-date knowledge of the Geography curriculum and be able to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Teaching Experience: Have relevant teaching experience across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Safeguarding: Be able to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and hold up-to-date Safeguarding Training.
