Geography Teacher Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Geography Teacher to join our team at U-Educate. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography to students in secondary schools based in Portsmouth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, marking, and assessing lessons to ensure student progress and achievement.
  • Developing and delivering engaging lesson plans and curriculums that cater to varying learning abilities.
  • Providing helpful feedback to students on their progress and adapting teaching methods to meet their needs.
  • Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and up-to-date knowledge of the Geography curriculum.
  • Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children.
  • Relevant teaching experience across Key stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (candidates without a current certificate can undertake a free course with U-Educate).
