Job Title: Child Care Specialist

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Specialist to join our team at Step By Step Nursery. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children in our setting.

You will work closely with parents and other staff members to ensure that every child receives the individualized attention and support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safeguarding Children
  • Advise Manager/SENCO of any concerns regarding children, parents, or the safety of the environment.
  • Keep confidential any information acquired as part of the job.
Inclusion and Diversity
  • Create a welcoming environment for children with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Work with outside agencies to provide additional support for children who require it.
Health and Safety
  • Maintain good standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.
  • Participate in daily checklists and monthly risk assessments.
  • Develop strong partnerships with parents and other professionals.
Professional Development
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Complete core training courses (first aid, safeguarding, food safety) funded by the company.
