Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quantity surveying team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high-quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Oversee and manage the quantity surveying team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high-quality performance.
- Contract Management: Conduct reviews of sub-contractor quotations and place orders, prepare pre-commencement contribution plans, and submit monthly interim valuations.
- Site Management: Conduct site measurements, review subcontractor applications for payment, and issue appropriate payment and pay less notices, and certificates.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly cost reports, including forecasting, and review and act on any contractual correspondence.
- Final Accounts: Submit final accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Business Development: Support business development activities by providing commercial expertise and identifying and managing project risks and opportunities.
Requirements and Skills:
- Education: Educated to degree qualification in quantity surveying.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in software packages such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience: Significant experience in main contracting.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Communication and Organisational Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Professional Standards: High professional standards aligned with honesty and integrity.
- Project Management: Proven track record in managing multiple projects and delivering successful outcomes.
