Job Title: Inspection/Test Engineer

Location: Derbyshire

Salary: Circa £30,000

We are seeking a skilled Inspection/Test Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products through final inspection and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct final inspections of bespoke company products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  2. Perform performance testing of prototypes and products to agreed test specifications.
  3. Work in accordance with health and safety procedures and ensure all equipment used complies with relevant safety and performance standards.
  4. Carry out in-process inspection, general testing, and inspection duties.
  5. Fault finding and rectification, where necessary.
  6. Configure control instruments and ancillary equipment.
  7. Configure software.
  8. Calibrate products.
  9. Attend training sessions as required to maintain role requirements.
  10. Provide worldwide field support as part of the existing service team.
  11. Maintain accurate and meticulous records, including inspection reports, rejection reports, calibration records, quality management system documents, and test results.
  12. Record working hours.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as an Inspection/Test Engineer or practical experience in an electrical manufacturing environment.
  2. Minimum qualification of C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
  3. Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams (supply & instrumentation).
  4. Experience in applicable directives, norms, and standards used in light industrial applications is essential.
  5. PLC experience is an advantage.
  6. Self-motivated with a flexible, hands-on approach.
  7. Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  8. Basic knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  9. Valid passport holder and clean driving license required for occasional travel.
