At Raffles London at The OWO, we are seeking a skilled Room Attendant to join our Rooms Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in our guest rooms and corridors.

Reporting to the Floor Supervisor, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining allocated guest rooms and corridors, ensuring that all equipment and storerooms are well-maintained and cleaned to the highest standards. You will also work closely with the House Porter team to provide all necessary supplies and amenities to guest rooms, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.

As a Room Attendant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing cleaning duties and ensuring care and presentation of all equipment.
  • Scheduling through cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and corridors, including all fittings and surfaces to required standards.
  • Carrying out all reasonable guest, VIP, and special requests as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Ensuring all housekeeping and linen stores are well-maintained and cleaned, stacked according to shelf labels.
  • Using the appropriate cleaning chemicals on all surfaces as per Raffles SOPs.
  • Taking responsibility for an allocated section within a hotel floor with supervision.
  • Reporting technical and engineering issues found in rooms or public areas to the HSK coordinator as and when encountered.
  • Reporting any guest preferences to the housekeeping supervisor/coordinator and acting upon the requests.
  • Maintaining effective communication with other colleagues, the floor team, and EE team if necessary.
  • Carrying out spring cleaning duties as directed by the Junior/Floor Housekeeper.
  • Taking ownership of the master key, the duct phone, and the computer/tablet, ensuring you sign items in and out in the housekeeping office.
  • To be flexible in your working hours in line with business requirements.
  • Following the lost property procedure.
  • Greeting all guests in a professional and polite manner.
  • Respecting guest privacy by being quiet and respectful in corridors and service areas.
  • Maintaining a clean and efficient '5-Star' floor section in line with Raffles standards/LQA.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of providing high levels of service under pressure, exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken, and an understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when required.
