Senior Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented psychiatrist to make a real difference in the lives of people with mental health needs. As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing medical input to patients under the care of the Community Mental Health Team and attending CPAs for enhanced patients.
- Main Duties:
- Provide medical input as required to patients under care of the Community Mental Health Team and will attend CPAs for enhanced patients and provide urgent assessment/advice as required.
- The post holder would be expected to actively participate in service/team evaluation and the planning of future service developments.
- Empowers the team to resolve local issues on a daily basis using the tools and method of quality improvement without staff having to seek permission.
- To manage, appraise and give professional supervision to junior medical staff as agreed between consultant colleagues and the medical director and in accordance with the Trust's personnel policies and procedures.
- To participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and, as appropriate, for the whole mental health service.
- The postholder will join the Consultant on-call rota.
