Job Title: Building Services Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team at Nuffield Health Hertford Fitness & Wellbeing Centre. As a key member of our Property & Facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the entire site, including the building shell, surrounding grounds, and all mechanical plant, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of all building services, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including pool maintenance, water hygiene, and emergency lighting testing.
  • Use your technical skills to operate an effective preventative maintenance programme.
  • Assist in the completion of all monthly PPM jobs and complete all building services daily/weekly checklists.
  • Manage and complete all reactive calls within a realistic and reasonable timeframe.
  • Understand COSHH regulations and guidelines and assist with the ownership and management of all Health and Safety Management System folders.
  • Carry out all pool maintenance and complete regular pool/spa testing while on shift and complete fabric-based tasks.
  • Maintain a positive, productive working relationship with all other staff.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in prioritizing health & safety management in the Building Services area, ensuring policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work are in place.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a maintenance facility role.
  • 3 Day ISRM Pool Plant room qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Excellent customer service and organization skills.
  • Team player, committed to providing a service ethos.
  • A qualification in either electrical or HVAC.
  • IOSHH Qualification.
