We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Officer to join our dynamic team at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective internal and external communications plans for the West Midlands Cancer Alliance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the WMCA's positive reputation through proactive media relations and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure the WMCA workforce is engaged and informed through regular internal communications.
- Communicate achievements and initiatives openly and transparently via PR, social media, and other communications channels.
- Build and support strong local stakeholder relationships to increase engagement with the WMCA brand.
- Deliver the local response to national NHS cancer campaigns and ensure the WMCA operates in line with national brand guidelines and communications guidelines.
- Achieve value-for-money from communications activities using a range of tools.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a communications role in a large organisation.
- Ability to work unsupervised and be decisive within a specialised field.
- Experience of working in a highly pressured, deadline-driven, and customer-focused environment.
- Knowledge and experience of a wide area of communication techniques, including new advances in technology within the field.
