Category Manager

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to support and develop our procurement strategies aligned to business outcomes. As a key member of our @one Alliance, you will work closely with the Head of Procurement to drive efficiencies and outperform against the Procurement "Whitebook" initiative.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sourcing agreements with Anglian Water, ensuring alignment with business needs and driving "Best for Task" innovation through the supply chain.
- Aggregate demand based on business requirements, leveraging market knowledge to identify opportunities for growth and cost savings.
- Establish and monitor SMART objectives with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery and mitigate potential risks.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and risks, providing strategic insights to inform procurement decisions.
- Conduct regular 360-degree review meetings with stakeholders to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the solution team to ensure the right supply chain is in place to support delivery and procurement strategies.
- Ensure all commercial requirements are submitted and audited to maximize commercial performance within the Alliance.
- Implement SHEA processes and procedures throughout all deliverables, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
To be considered for this role, you will hold a CIPS Professional standard and membership (or equivalent) and have experience in a senior procurement/sourcing role. You will be able to handle a wide range of demanding stakeholders, be resourceful and persuasive, and demonstrate solid leadership skills. You will work with a transparent and commercial outlook, with the customer at the heart of all your activities.
