About the Role

This position plays a key role in empowering everyone to create sustainable solutions by executing high-level ICSS & Application Engineering deliverables on various national and international automation projects using ABB products and systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Providing technical solutions on time and within budget, working closely with project managers and engineers to identify key resources, and taking ownership of allocated scopes.
  2. Training and mentoring new team members.
  3. Interacting with clients to interpret their needs and performing quality control on work deliverables.
  4. Reviewing engineering deliverables, monitoring compliance with standards, coordinating technical queries, assisting with technical sales presentations, and producing engineering estimates for bids.
  5. Hands-on experience in process or safety systems, particularly in application engineering, HMI engineering, 3rd party communication interfaces, FAT, and SAT for process automation.
  6. Experience in design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of ICSS applications.
  7. Ability to work on multiple discipline projects.
  8. Good working knowledge of Networks, IT/OT Systems, and Cyber Security.
  9. Engineer applications using IEC-61131-3 languages (FB, ST, SFC).
  10. Knowledge of industrial communications protocols.
  11. Industry knowledge in Networking, Cyber Security, IoT, Industry 4.0, SCADA, and PLC.
  12. Software experience in Network Management and virtual machines.
  13. Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas (up to 30% of the time).
