English and ESOL Lecturer

We are seeking a qualified and experienced English and ESOL Lecturer to join our team at Craven College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students on our English and ESOL courses.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and prepare training sessions on a range of English and ESOL courses, ensuring that learning materials are relevant and engaging for students.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date teaching and learning resources, including flexible learning programmes, to support students' progress.
- Assess student work, following College and awarding body standards, and participate in internal verification and/or moderation as required.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of English and ESOL provision, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to Quality Assurance procedures and self-assessment requirements.
- Support students in achieving their learning goals, providing guidance and advice as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering good relationships between students and staff.
- Relevant academic or professional qualifications, including a Level 5 Teaching qualification and a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent in the subject specialist area.
- Excellent knowledge of the subject area, with experience of teaching and training in the Further Education sector and adult community delivery.
- Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Willingness to undertake further professional development, achieving high standards in a pressured environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Up-to-date enhanced child/adult workforce DBS (issued within the last 3 months if not previously worked in education, or 12 months if previously worked in education).
- Degree-level qualification or highly qualified in the subject area.
- Relevant industrial experience.
