Skipton has good transport links and is easily accessible from Burnley 19 miles, Bradford 18 miles, Keighley 10 miles and Harrogate 22 miles.

We are currently seeking to employ an inspirational and motivated Health & Social Care Lecturer, to teach a range of Health and Social Care and Early Years units from programmes within the School of Caring Professions.

**Essential requirements**:

- Current teaching qualification to Level 5: Diploma in Education and Training/PGCE/Cert Ed (or working towards), experienced Health Professionals will be considered without this but must be willing to undertake the L5 teaching qualification within 12 months of the commencing this role;
- Health or Allied Health professional qualification and experience: e.g. Nurse, Midwife, Mental Health Worker, Clinical Support Worker, Senior Care Worker/Trainer. The role will include teaching and assessing basic Clinical Knowledge, Skill, Behaviours;
- Qualified to Level 2 (GCSE Grade A*-C or equivalent) in English and Maths;
- Recent relevant experience of teaching to a high standard in the FE sector, including 14-16 age range; and /or experience training staff/ students in their Health Setting;
- Good administrative skills with the ability to maintain accurate and relevant records in line with quality procedures;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational skills;
- Interest and understanding of current educational initiatives;
- Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative to meet the needs of the College;
- Ability to motivate staff and work effectively as a team member;
- Ability to achieve consistently high standards under pressure;
- Willingness and ability to liaise effectively with external bodies and agencies;
- Willing to undertake professional development linked to the needs of the College;
- Computer literate.
