Join Our Team of Compassionate Caregivers

At FirstLight Home Care of Southern Maine, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients. We're currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion Care Assistant to join our team.

About the Role

As a Companion Care Assistant, you will provide companionship and conversation to our clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation. You will also assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and other tasks to ensure our clients' homes are comfortable and safe.

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and conversation to clients
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
  • Help with shopping, errands, and transportation
  • Engage in recreational activities with clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous caregiving experience preferred
  • Passion for caregiving and desire to help others
  • Commitment to being present and providing quality care
  • Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
  • Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively manage the demands of the job
