About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Beckford, a beautiful 18th century Cotswold pub in the heart of the village. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, stock control, and cleaning schedules, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Lead by example, embodying our company values of Set the Bar High, From the Heart, Raise the Spirits, and Make us the Talk of the Town, to inspire and motivate the kitchen team.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain gross profit margins through menu planning, portion management, and menu pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, and fire safety regulations within the kitchen.
