Job Overview:

This role involves working as part of our team to support an individual with neurodegeneration, providing person-centred care that promotes independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living skills and goal-oriented activities
  • Monitor physical and emotional well-being
  • Provide person-centred support
  • Support sensory needs and household duties
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships in the community

The Individual:

  • Age: 40s
  • Interests: watching movies, series, and documentaries on CSI, Criminal Minds, and Superheroes
  • Manchester City Fan
  • Challenges: mobility restricted, requires hoist and sling assistance, limited speech, communicates through hand signals and head movements, PEG and medication requirements
  • Personality: bubbly, chatty people who can match energy, patient with communication, sense of humour appreciated

Team Information:

  • 2:1 staffing ratio during the day, 1:1 night shifts
  • 12-hour days/nights shift patterns
  • Bespoke training course for staff covering individual needs

Estimated Annual Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 (based on 35 hours/week)
