Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to take on a new locum opportunity in Oxford, working within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the ward during your span of duty.
- Assist with the overall management of the inpatient unit.
- Evaluate, plan, implement, and assess care for young individuals and their caregivers.
- Provide high-quality holistic nursing care to young persons and carers.
- Work collaboratively as part of a skilled nursing team.
- Contribute to the development of Highfield Unit PICU services.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
- Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Valid NMC Registration.
- Experience in mental health care or working with young people (e.g., within CAMHS).
- Experience of working within a CAMHS inpatient unit.
- Experience working in a psychiatric intensive care unit.
