Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Dietitian to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dietetic care to paediatric in-patients and out-patients, planning and prioritising workload as part of a flexible paediatric dietetic team.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide dietetic care to paediatric patients with a variety of clinical conditions, including weight management, faltering growth, allergy, feeding difficulties and special needs requiring nutritional support.

• Be responsible for hospital paediatric dietetic clinics, contributing to ward rounds, multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences.

• Undertake nutritional assessments of paediatric patients, analysing and interpreting data to formulate individualised nutritional care plans.

• Monitor and assess nutritional care plans against outcome measures, adjusting care plans to facilitate achievement of goals.

Person Specification

• Honours Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or postgraduate diploma or equivalent qualification

• Registered Dietitian by HPC (Health Professional Council)

• Evidence of continuous professional development/relevant postgraduate education
