About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Randstad UK Holding. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical plant and plumbing systems in a commercial office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on on-site mechanical plant and plumbing systems
  • Conduct fault finding and strip downs on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and other mechanical equipment
  • Carry out routine checks on sprinkler, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems
  • Perform water treatment tasks, including tap tests, dosing, and cooling tower checks
  • Work on chilled and hot water systems, plumbing maintenance, and generator inspections
  • Operate Building Management Systems (BMS)
Requirements
  • Mechanical qualification to City & Guilds Level 2 or NVQ (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building services maintenance in commercial office environments
  • Physical fitness to navigate high-rise buildings
  • Excellent communication skills for client-facing work
