About the Role

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Civilian Occupational Medicine Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Recruitment and Attraction department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fitness of candidates for military service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise the Head of Recruitment and Attraction on medical matters related to candidate fitness for service.
  • Develop and implement effective medical policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with military and non-military partners to ensure seamless medical assessments.
  • Collaborate with the Service Entry Medical Department to deliver high-quality medical services.
  • Provide expert advice on medical standards and policy.

Requirements

  • Registered medical practitioner on the GMC Specialist Register in Occupational Medicine.
  • Valid license to practice and up-to-date GMC validation and re-validation certificate.
  • Proven experience in occupational medicine and policy development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
