Job Description

This role involves working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, where you will be responsible for routine analytical testing, calibration, and laboratory maintenance. You will also be required to work hands-on with explosives, using your knowledge of safe systems of work to ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience working in laboratories and understanding of working with hazardous materials
  • Managing laboratories and/or facilities
  • Good Laboratory Practices and experience of working in a quality led environment
  • Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work (e.g. Operating Instructions, Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments)
  • Experience in/knowledge of a range of characterisation techniques e.g. GPC, HPLC, wet chemistry methods and DSC, TGA
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Salary

The salary for this role is around £45,000-£60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
