About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Respiratory Assistant Technical Officer (ATO) to join our expanding Respiratory Laboratory at Aintree University Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform spirometry tests on patients in diagnostic respiratory clinics, with training and supervision.
  • Contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders, working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Develop skills in spirometry and other tests, leading to the ARTP full certificate in spirometry.
  • Work closely with the medical team, admin team, and other clinical physiologists in the department.
  • Assist in more advanced investigations, such as CPET testing.
Requirements
  • Previous healthcare experience, preferably within the NHS.
  • Experience of working within a clinical setting and with confidential and sensitive information.
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent relevant discipline.
  • Desirable: ARTP certificate in spirometry and experience as an Assistant Technical Officer.
