Imec's Test Chip Architect Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Chip Architect to join our team at imec, a world-leading research center in nanotechnology. As a Test Chip Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of relevant demonstrators for technology pathfinding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and specify test chip demonstrators for technology assessment
  • Develop measurement and characterization strategies for emerging memories
  • Plan and manage tape-out qualifications for test chip demonstrators
  • Collaborate with integration and device teams to drive test chip projects to success
  • Participate in the design of some parts in the demonstrator and final GDS delivery
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Electronics with at least 5 years of relevant industrial or academic experience in circuit design
  • Solid experience in the design of circuit demonstrators and leading tape-outs
  • Mixed-signal or digital circuit design background with experience in bringing circuit design to hardware
  • Understanding of emerging memories and their basic functioning and characteristics
  • Proficiency in circuit design tools, including layout and circuit simulation (Virtuoso IC design, Hspice, Calibre DRC/LVS, etc.)
  • Experience with measurement equipment and understanding of their limitations
  • Experience with PCB, demo board design, or FPGA programming is a plus
