Your Role at National Highways
We are seeking a dedicated Network Occupancy Coordinator to join our Operations team in the North West region. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and managing road space effectively.
What You'll Be Responsible For- Provide expert guidance and feedback on requests, notices, and permits related to network occupancy.
- Maintain and oversee the accuracy and timeliness of information within our Network Occupancy Management System and other relevant platforms.
- Coordinate the movement of abnormal loads by establishing routes for special-order category loads and ensuring timely delivery. Manage specific movement files and strictly adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding booking confirmations, rejections, or any necessary variations.
- Guarantee the accuracy of road space booking and abnormal load data, taking prompt action to resolve any discrepancies. Ensure that our stakeholders (including NTIS) can rely on the accuracy and timeliness of this data for publishing road works information, ultimately enabling customers to plan their journeys effectively through platforms like Traffic England and mobile apps.
- Support the management of network occupancy in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act and the Traffic Management Act.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
- Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced administrative environment is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines is crucial.
- Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act and New Roads & Street Works Act is desirable.
