Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to pupils with SEN
  • Assist with reading, writing, and maths activities to help pupils achieve their full potential
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of SEN and strategies to support pupils
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a safe and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
