Job Description

As a SEN Teaching Assistant with GSL Education, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure students remain engaged and focused during lessons.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and promote positive behavior within the classroom.
  • Support students with personal care needs, as required.
  • Prepare and organize teaching materials, visual aids, and resources to enhance student learning.
  • Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
Requirements
  • Relevant teaching assistant qualification (Certificate or Diploma in Childcare and Education).
  • Experience working with individuals with severe learning difficulties or other SEN.
  • Excellent communication skills and empathy.
