Project Manager Job Description

Rubicon Consulting is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team in Glasgow. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full life cycle delivery of projects from design through commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality plans.
  2. Own and manage deliverables related to time, cost, and quality, ensuring safe project delivery.
  3. Lead and develop teams from design, site, and commissioning on various projects.
  4. Utilize excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external partners and clients.
  5. Represent the client with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Assist in bid development, providing expertise for bid opportunities.
  7. Provide and manage objectives to project team members to ensure all deliverables are monitored and achieved in accordance with the plan.
  8. Manage project costs and produce method statements and risk assessments.
  9. Lead weekly safety walks and site safety meetings, proactively raising hazards and promoting best practices.
  10. Operate within a budget and programme.
  11. Promote a culture of openness and willingness to listen within teams.
Requirements
  1. SMSTS certification.
  2. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  3. Substation experience.
  4. Self-motivated with a good attitude to problem-solving.
  5. Good interpersonal skills.
  6. Full driving license.
  7. Experience in managing budgets.
  8. Ability to plan works in the most efficient manner.
  9. People management skills and ability to motivate and engage staff.
  10. Ability to deliver strong financial performance in a contracting environment.
  11. Proven understanding of safety and quality management.
  12. APM, PRINCE2, or PMI qualifications are desirable.
Experience Required

Project management experience on Substation projects of up to 400kV.
