Countermeasure Development Engineer

Join our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS) as a Countermeasure Development Engineer and contribute to the development of cutting-edge countermeasure solutions. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our software development team to design, model, and verify countermeasure techniques across various real-world scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of our in-house countermeasure simulation software tool, CounterWorX, using MATLAB, Python, and Simulink.
  • Collaborate with our software development team to ensure seamless integration and delivery of releasable software products.
  • Analyse and design countermeasure techniques, culminating in delivery to customers for use in operation.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for in-house software products.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Physics/Mathematical principles at degree-level.
  • Experience with Electro-Optics (EO), Infra-Red (IR), or Radio Frequency (RF) sensors and systems within a defence setting.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
  • Excellent technical leadership and communication skills.
