Food Safety Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Services Officer to focus on food safety in Argyll & Bute Council. The successful candidate will assess standards and ensure compliance with food law.
This role involves speaking with business operators, assessing food safety management systems, and enforcing food safety law. A knowledge of food safety law enforcement and/or food science is an advantage.
The base location is flexible, but preferably in the west area. You'll receive training and support to attain the SFORB Higher Certificate in Food Practice and contribute to the Council's Food Law Enforcement Plan.
This is a temporary post to 30 June 2026, with potential for a permanent role. We champion diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing, and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued.
