Our client, a leading global business, is seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join their dedicated and passionate national HR team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in implementing the HR strategy and processes across the site. This exciting opportunity offers a varied and autonomous role, covering all aspects of HR. You will work closely with the wider HR team and support managers with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, policy, procedure, and projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting managers with employee relations cases
• Driving employee engagement initiatives throughout the business
• Collaborating with managers on end-to-end recruitment
• Creating and implementing an onboarding process for new hires
• Following up on and completing probation/performance reviews
• Coaching and influencing managers on absence
• Working with the Plant Manager on succession planning and talent management
• Assessing training needs and coordinating learning and development initiatives
• Reviewing HR processes and implementing new procedures where needed
• Producing and reporting on monthly and end-of-year HR KPIs
• Building effective relationships with union representatives and agency suppliers
• Providing all-round HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle
• Supporting the HR team on wider projects as required

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in a similar Human Resource role, with experience in handling employee relations cases, dealing with employment unions, and working in a fast-paced environment, ideally within manufacturing. A minimum of CIPD level 5 or equivalent is required, along with a proactive approach to continuous improvement, self-sufficiency, and the ability to work autonomously and form strong working relationships. Good working knowledge of MS packages, including Excel, is also essential.
