Project Planner Job Description

TXM Recruit is seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our team on a project with a major rail client for up to 6 months. The role is remote with occasional travel to our London office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective project programmes, working closely with Programme & Project Managers and delivery function leads.
  • Provide support to stakeholders in identifying and resolving issues within programmes.
  • Coordinate between internal divisions and subcontractors' programmes of works.
  • Produce reports and dashboards to communicate programme compliance and status to stakeholders.
  • Establish programme baselines and evaluate the potential effect of risks and changes.
Requirements:
  • Self-starter with strong relationships-building skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proven ability to use Primavera P6 and Microsoft planning products, with experience in Critical Path Analysis.
  • Flexibility to travel to Hitachi Rail locations as required.
  • Able to represent Hitachi in a professional manner at all times.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Formal project management training.
  • Good knowledge of SAP or equivalent MRP system.
  • Bi or multi-lingual – English/Japanese/Italian.
  • Client or project delivery experience in the UK railway industry.
