About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Community Support Specialist to join our team at Reading Voluntary Action. As an Outreach Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support, risk assessment, information, and advocacy to clients who have experienced domestic abuse.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a confidential and safeguarding environment, with a strong understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on families. A full driving license and access to transport is desirable.

Job Description

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of empathy, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for empowering our clients, keeping their safety central to our interventions. This includes building strong relationships with professional agencies and contributing to the development of strategies to address domestic abuse.

A salary of around £25,000-£28,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families.
