Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Starling Bank Limited. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance and management of our Asset Management function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver a comprehensive control testing program to ensure the effectiveness of our risk management framework.
- Partner with Risk and Control Owners to create a culture of effective and consistent risk management, oversight, and reporting.
- Provide advice, challenge, and input on key decisions to ensure Risk and Control owners are aware and accountable.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of a risk-aware culture within Customer Operations.
Requirements:
- Experience of operating risk management frameworks effectively.
- Experience in first-line control testing.
- Understanding of Conduct Risk and the Consumer Duty would be an advantage.
- An inquisitive and analytical mind to identify control gaps and suggest improvements.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and shape financial crime operations to be the best in class.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and knowledge of database management and reporting.
