Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our largest glass Merchanting site in Bradford. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical and electrical breakdown repairs on processing plant and equipment, as well as establishing and carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical breakdown repairs on processing plant and equipment
  • Establish and carry out planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Develop and implement Risk Assessment and Method Statements for all engineering activities
  • Work alongside contractors during planned maintenance opportunities

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have served a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering and have some previous experience of electrical maintenance within a processing or manufacturing environment. Experience of using H&S systems/SAP or other CMMS system is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
