About the Role
  • Design engaging Science lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
  • Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love of science, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of core scientific concepts, experimental methods, and practical applications.
  • Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, and beyond).
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department and contribute to school-wide events.
  • Take on a leadership role within the Science department, such as leading a specific subject area or coordinating a particular project.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science or a closely related subject.
  • Demonstrates a strong passion for Science and a captivating teaching style.
  • Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a diverse learning environment.
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.
  • Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
  • Has a proven track record of successful teaching, with a particular emphasis on engaging students and fostering a love of learning.
  • Is committed to providing high-quality instruction and supporting students' academic growth.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
