Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Scenery Workshop Manager to join our team at Prospero Integrated. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional in scenic construction to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the warehouse and workshop scenic team, including line management and training.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks and operations of the workshop and scenic warehouse team.
  • Oversee the construction and preparation process of equipment to ensure high standards and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain excellent health and safety standards.
  • Manage stock levels and inventory of workshop materials and consumables.
  • Perform routine maintenance on workshop equipment and tools.
  • Contribute to design and material specification for custom scenic elements.
  • Participate in hands-on construction of scenic products.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Scenic for daily planning and forward thinking to optimize departmental resources.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in live events industry with a focus on scenic construction.
  • Strong leadership skills, self-motivation, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to interpret construction drawings and CAD plans.
  • Excellent knowledge of workshop tools and machinery.
  • Proficient carpentry skills with expertise in various materials.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines is an advantage but not essential.
  • Superb communication and leadership skills.
  • Meticulous planning and attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize multiple jobs and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills and flexibility.
